Activities in Yosemite

The range of activities in Yosemite is fairly broad. Any journey into the Valley will provide you with a glimpse of what a number of foolhardy tourists are doing. On the other end of the spectrum, you could just wake up early and free-solo the nose of El Capitan… it’s all up to you… Whatever your level of aptitude, Yosemite probably has a challenge or two for ya…

Here are some of Park Junkie’s favorite activities in Yosemite National Park.

Hiking in Yosemite

With more than 800 miles of trail in the park, hikers will not suffer from lack of choices in Yosemite. In fact, this place is home to some of the most incredible miles in all the parks. Trails can lead through a variety of terrain and can be found to suit any level of ability.

Hiking Half Dome will require a permit, which can be reserved in March of each year. Click on the Half Dome link in the hike description to obtain yours.
