The main attraction in this park is Skyline Drive, which winds along the top of the park, on the ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Visiting Shenandoah will usually involve a drive along this route, as it is the only road in the park that runs the north/south length of the park. The views from the plethora of pullouts are nothing less than stunning, as the drive is situated high above the lush green valleys of farming communities nestled in the valleys below.
